ive been talking to a haven fan this morning who said crarey is ready to walk and the board have sounded out our ex coach,dont know if theres any truth in it but to say the haven fan was raging about it would be understating it

No disrespect to Barrow rlfc but he has come to a Bigger club with a lot of expectations expected from him, Paul has changed a few things around both on and of the field which some players are still trying to get to grips with, hopefully the players will adapt to them in the coming weeks but what ever club you support you have to give the players and coaches the support other wise you are just putting them under more pressure which effects them and there performances on the field.

WHITEHAVEN RL coach Paul Crarey is in hospital after suffering chest
pains.

Mr Crarey is being treated for angina and is being kept
in Furness General Hospital, Barrow, while he awaits further tests.

His illness will certainly spell a period of recuperation away from
his current job as coach at the National League One club.

Speaking from his Dalton home today, his wife Julie said: "He's not
very well at all.

"They're treating him for angina and his cholesterol is high so
they're doing some tests.

"It's stress that's brought it on I think.

"He was just sat at home when he took ill so I took him to hospital.
He'll have to take some time off.

"He's waiting to see the specialist and hopefully when he's seen the
specialist he can come home. It's just a nightmare."

His good friend, former Barrow Raiders team manager Dave Kendall
said: "Paul is not too good to be honest.

"I went to see him yesterday and he's alright but they haven't
pinpointed anything so they're going to keep him in."

Mr Crarey enjoyed a successful playing career as a hooker with
amateurs Dalton and then in the professional ranks with Barrow and
Carlisle, and also represented Cumbria.

He then became a coach, with spells at Dalton and Walney Central,
before replacing Peter Roe as head coach of the Raiders in October
2005.

Crarey, known throughout rugby league circles as Cresta, spent two
seasons at the helm at Craven Park, leading the club to sixth and
third places in National League Two.

He parted company with the club after the end of the 2007 season, and
has since taken the reins at Whitehaven

Now that ged as now signed jus a word of advice do not call him on any forums as you will have his wife on to you like a shot!!!!!!!!!!never mention words like these:-drink,crap coach,beer,boring rugby,team building,clueless,pubs, if you do expect an invitation for a brawl.GOOD LUCK

I don't think much thought has gone into this appointment. I've a feeling that the baggage Ged accumulated at Workington will follow him to Whitehaven. Regardless of his coaching ability and what went on during his spell at Town, I think he is going to have his work cut out to get the respect from the Haven players, and I think you supporters will be on his back from the off.

The last thing you needed after your financial problems was this appointment, as I think your crowds will start to dwindle from this week, especially if you get a good hiding at Widnes. In fact I wouldn't be at all surprised if you are playing us 6 times next season!!

Just remember, that Town, regardless of the final league positions they finished under Ged, constantly had one of the worst defences in NL2, it was only the brilliance of Sione, Limmer and JT that helped the team appear better than it actually was!!

With no disrespect to your opinion, Paul, didn't stand a chance up their at Whitehaven, the attitude of the fans is for all to see and hear, against Paul.
You have lost a very dedicated coach, perhaps in time, the Haven supporters will realise this.
