It's common knowledge that Haven have financial problems, and it would appear they are quite serious and even the new chairman said so on BBC RC, BUT is there really any need to gloat about it - not so long ago Town were in a very difficult, if not worse position too. The nature of the sport today will always lead to things like this happening and clubs have to cut their cloth accordingly. I for one will go on record as saying that I do not like to see this happen to any club in any sport no matter what the local rivalry and history may be. I know one of the new directors at Haven personally and wish them all the best in resolving the situation for the good of the club and the good of RL here in West Cumbria.

So its been fine for Haven fans to take the michael for years upon years about
Town's finance's but the minute the boots on the other foot, LOCKED topic typical

i might be way off the mark with this, but i dont think things will be as bad as people expect
cash flow will be a big problem at the mo just like any club a long off season bills to pay no games for revenue etc etc
as for large debts, well im sure even though the accounts are not finished that the new BOD members wil have had a good idea how things stack up before agreeing to come on board and pump in any money(which is rumoured to be the case)
Surely they would have not come out in the press saying all players contracts will be honoured if they owe say 70/80k,as the easiest way to solve this would be to cut contracts and off load players
i would be suprised if its any more than say 20/25k which in the scheme of things is nothing (its a good CC cup game or a final appearnce)

Personally I wouldn't find it ironic if I were you I'd find it hypocritical. I've never took the mickey about Town's finances just their on field performances. It won't be locked because I'm not the kind of person who can't take banter I just can't take outright trolling and abuse which instigates crap. well steve its friday 2.30 and its hoofing it down here in whitehaven and its windy, and i believe its forecast for the weekend
. thats better for town. i think as a higher score victory in the derby might have lifted the doom and gloom of some haven fans temporarily.
