----------- heartbreaks you've had, what are your prospects for the coming season?
You've lost the likes of McCormack, and Nanyn, and with Widnes, Leythers, and Hull KR running virtual full-time squads, what are your aspirations for reaching Super League this term? Do you think you can compete with the "big" boys? Or is 4th behind the three teams I've mentioned the best you can hope for? Or are you confident you'll be in the Grand Final again?
Don't get me wrong, this is not a "Get at 'Haven" post, far, far from it, coz I'd love to see SL in Cumbria again. But as a realist (and if you're a Swinton fan, you have to be a realist!) from where I'm sat in front of this screen, it looks like you're in for a mighty difficult campaign up there at the Recre!
How say you lot?
Spelly.
Swinton till I die!

I agree with parts of your post marra that we appear to be weaker but most Haven fans feel we are stronger than last year, the only problem is so are Leigh, Hull KR, Widnes and Halifax.
We have replaced Nanyn with Maden who is rated highly at Leigh we have replaced Penny with Duffy who i believe is the best Half Back outside SL and we have replaced Tandy with Trindall who is well experienced and wont let us down.
Mcormack has gone but we have replaced him with a excellent young coach in Dave Rotherham.
As for a difficult season marra you are right about that but every team will have a difficult season in this division.
