Really looking forward to the game and I'll be hoping for a Batley victory.... 10 point start with the handicap betting as well..... thoughts anyone ?

It seems to me that the Widnes name and mystique still carries some sway with the bookies, despite the indifferent league performances and the supposedly horrendous injury list .
If you ignore the received wisdom and go by the form book, you'd have to say Batley. Will the experience of having won the trophy last season be of help to Widnes? Will the Bullfrogs freeze on the big day?
Should be a cracker, though: "Cup kings" or will the form horses cope on the flat, for once? We shall see...
A great win for Batley today. If only we'd managed to turn them over in last years final they'd really be struggling to 'tick the box' with only the GF to play for now.
I agree with Dave about the mistique surrounding Widnes. Over the last couple of seasons they've been nothing more than a mid-table Championship team. Imagine where they may have been without the assistance of loan and dual reg players.

Yeah it was a great day out my wife loved the banter in the WMC. We should have brought more Barrow fans as you all missed a fantastic atmosphere.
