The biggest home game of the season so far is next up at Craven Park. Defeated Grand Finalists Halifax are the opponents and the match will be shown Live on Sky Sports. Not only is this match another '6 pointer', but it's also our first chance in 2010 to show the RL public that the game in South Cumbria is alive and kicking. A great crowd turnout would hammer the message home even further to the powers-that-be.

The match poster is below. 3 points, a 3,000 crowd and a cracking atmosphere must be the targets for this one.

With last weekends defeat against Batley on the Himalayan slope, the game against Fax takes on even more importance. Drag those occasional fans along and twist the arms of those who who have never been.

There's still almost a week to advertise this match. It promises to be a great game - broadcast across the Country (and beyond).

Those in Texas know already, Steve. LOL

That's a shame, but you can't really blame the Fax fans for staying at home and watching it on Sky. We'll just have to hope that the home fans make up the difference. I reckon though that Barrow's away following must be one of, if not the best in the league. And that's with the extra hours of travel needed.

Just told my other half that arguing that £15 would be better spent on beer to watch in the cosiness of armchair is not advisable as he has to put up with me for 7 whole weeks. We're going to the match. biggrin.gif

good lass, well done. The best thing is about sky games is that you can see how bad your calls were on the game... laugh.gif laugh.gif biggrin.gif

not 100% sure of this but dont sky purchase so many family tickets pretty sure they did last year and if so can the club not get some of the players at say asda and maybe morrisons, tesco to try and drum up some extra support for the game on thursday people keep saying the crowds seem to have levelled off at around the 2k mark why not try and entice new faces to the ground like the club did last year or try and get the evening mail to put a decent write up in the paper leading up to the game.
Marsh
seemed to work last year Foz. Massive effort needed by all in pushing the games
fozzy3
it happened a fair few times last year marsh and it worked cause the town was buzzing but i suppose with no relegation or promotion its hard to drum up the interest.thats one of the main downfalls of this franchise boxxxxks that the rfl dreamt up the smaller clubs stay small whilst the super duper league clubs keep growing lets be honest after winning the grand final their is nothing else to go for apart from trying to retain it year after year.

Will be taking my better half to the game. She has been 3 times and we have never lost.Hopefully she can keep the winning streak going!!!!!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Rooney's fit, Blackwood should play and Steve Mac is hopeful on McGillvary's availablility.

Only major doubt (apart form the long term injured) is Youngy who has a badly swollen knee. He would be a real miss on current form. Him missing could leave us a bit light in the forwards IMO.

Assuming Young is out and McGillvary is available I'd go for ....

1. Broadbent
2. Ballard
3. Blackwood
4. Harrison
5. McGillvary
6. Rooney
7. Coyle
8. Bracek
9. Mossop
10. McDermott
11. Catic
12. Ostler
13. Luisi

14. Knowles
15. Noone
16. Carlile
17. Bauer/Butler
