You are quite right Master Brew, McGuinness did sign for Haven but someone in the office cocked things up and forgot to register his signing and so Town had another crack with him and he signed for Town. I think they were too busy getting in the s**t signing up youngsters from Wath Brow for the academy without mentioning it to the Brow club, and forgot all about registering McGuinness.

I suggest you check your facts before you make silly comments.
Mcguiness left Haven as he was not in the frame for this season or next so he wimped out of fighting for a place and signed for Town.
Nothing to do with cocking his registration up.

As I have said, you were correct, he DID sign for Haven BUT his forms were never sent to the RFL for registering and Town stepped in with a better offer. I can understand the club not wanting this sort of `****-up` to get out but those are the facts.

Bullsh*t.
I played at Kells with him and i am a good friend of his and there was no **** up with his registration.
Town offered him a huge contract and the fact he wouldnt get a look in at Haven made his mind up for him.

I some how cannot see McGuiness getting a big contract at Town as they dont go down that road - there are established players who did not get a large contract and most are on match terms only. Whatever happened the facts are that he initially decided not to sign for Town and then changed his mind and joined. I am glad that he did as he done an excellant job for us off the bench, and he will develop more playing week in week out for Town rather than waiting his turn at Haven.
