Lets hope they invest in the Haven

and throw money down a bottomless pit, i doubt it. if they are going to invest in sport it should be on sporting development in west cumbria at grass roots level in both allerdale and copeland. do you not think it selfish just to expect them to invest in one club only? a team with 1500-2000 fans. dont you think communities as a whole should benefit from any investment and not just one club so benefiting lots more people.

Who is to say they will invest any more than they do at present? After all they've now got what they were aiming for when they sponsored Haven.

Why should they invest in Allerdale ???? Incase you never noticed Sellafield is in Copeland. Surley Allerdale based Buisness should invest in Allerdale clubs.

thats a very selfish narrow minded argument marra. i live in whitehaven but imo sellafield is in west cumbria not whitehaven, if you think about the bigger picture you'll know what i mean, haven or town being stronger in the long term would be better served with rugby league being stronger at grass roots level in our area (facilities and coaching etc) not the selfish approach you suggest. with regards to haven have you ever heard of the saying "flogging a dead horse" ? or have you got a short memory.

If thats the case shy should they invest in Whitehaven and not Milom thats in Copeland aint it????? how about Egremont, Seascale??? all these towns are in Copeland. It should be about development in west cumbria as the whole area could do with being revamped.

Money would not go to our debts, all people owed money have been paid unlike some other club who almost put local buisnesses out of buisness with there debt.

Oh the jealous Townies. Copeland is the only constituency in the country to openly welcome nuclear power and ask for it to be in the area. Not allerdale and not anywhere else. Copeland should and will benefit. Just stick with your tesco money eh

think you'll find the COUNTY council decide things for cumbria not copeland dan. its going to be the energy coast not the copeland coast marra. lots of people from allerdale work at sellafield. anyway they can pump whatever into the whitehaven jameater club and they'll still not last in super league as they have such a poor fan base. where you going to get an average crowd of 10k from, think about it. most people know (even some haven fans) the best way forward would be to invest in one joint club, saying that i feel even a joint club might struggle to get 10k, so where you think the thousands of new haven fans wil come from is beyond me, and dont forget having a good fanbase is one of the criterias for SL. haven have tried in the last few years to get to super league and failed miserably. town are the only cumbrian club to make it alone in super league and are a clear example of how SL isnt viable for a lone cumbrian team. i certainly wont be jealous watching haven making fools of themselves, i'll enjoy it.

this all thread was started on the subject of people hopefully investing in haven dan.which i suspect is what some haven fans believe could help havens SL application in 2012 HE HE HA HA . what i'm saying is whats the point as they wont be able to go it alone in SL just like barrow wouldnt and town too. acknowledge it and get over it dan. dont call me a donkey dan call me a jameater, i do live in whitehaven you know. copeland wont be the only place to benefit "IF" there is investment in sport dan and if you think different then thats up to you.

Whatever happens we will be the best placed Cumbrian club come the next rounds of franchises and hopefully have the best chance of gaining a license. I'm not saying that's what I would prefer but it's people like you that make me want Haven to get in just to ram it down your throat.
